Sodap one of the leading wineries of the Island of Cyprus, is a wine co-operative, established in 1947, and unites 10,000 families, from 144 vine growing villages. Sodap combines tradition in wine making, with efficient administration, of its two wineries, are in Limassol and the wineries are equipped with machinery of the latest technology, and produce excellent quality wines.
Cyprus sherries, concentrated grape must, eau-de-vie-de-vin, pure alcohol, and the unique "Commandaria", the liqueur wine of Cyprus, which is the only wine in Cyprus under controlled appellation of origin. SODAP presents a wide range of bottled products, such as the dry white "Arsinoe", the red dry "Afames", white and red medium sweet "Santa Marina", the white medium dry "Danae", the rose dry "Mirto," as well as the "Commandaria Saint Barnabas", sweet wine "Muscat", "Zivania" the authentic Cyprus Spirit, "Ouzo Extra Fine", brandy "V.S.O.P", and the special quality Brandy "Adonis", which is offered in luxury bottles packed in individual gift boxes. SODAP's products enjoy an excellent reputation both in the local market, where the name SODAP is synonymous to quality and elegance, and also, in the international market. SODAP exports to several countries, with indisputable success, about 40% of the Cyprus bottled exports. Among the countries to which SODAP's products are exported, are the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, United States, Canada, Australia, Greece, Belgium, Finland, Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Lebanon, Sierra Leone etc. SODAP has won so far at international competitions, 10 Gold Metals, and 24 Silver Metals and many bronze medals and diplomas. In the recent years the project of the Island Vines / Mountain Vines have established SODAP's name of quality in international competitions ,such as the International Wine Challenge Competition, winning metals and seals of approval, consistently year after year. SODAP is considered to be one of the greatest achievements of Co-operation in Cyprus and enjoys the esteem of the Co-operation Movements of many countries.
